We're so grateful that Lindsey from ezpz shared her story below about how she made mealtime with her three boys less stressful and more fun.
My name is Lindsey Laurain and I am the founder of ezpz. I’m a wife and working mom to three wonderful, wild boys who serve as my inspiration, my in-home product testers and my ezpz models.
I never imagined I would leave corporate America and become a mom entrepreneur, but so far the journey has been phenomenal. The ezpz mission is to make mealtime less about mess and stress so you can keep it focused on what’s important – family. Everyday I am inspired by community, positivity and giving back. Brad (my husband) came up with the idea last March SO we have moved extremely quickly. I have never been happier and pinch myself everyday.
How it All Began...
Our life was pretty chaotic, especially at mealtime, and my husband and I were fed up with the messiness and cleanup time dedicated to each meal. One night (in the midst of his frustration) my husband said, "Someone needs to create something kids can't toss or throw at meals!" The next day I hopped online and, low and behold, nothing existed. From that day on I was committed to bringing the product to life, with the goal to make meals with kids ezpz – and that is how the Happy Mat came to be!
My husband and I have quit our jobs to focus on ezpz full time. I work A LOT but (thankfully!) love every second. I also have chosen to create a talented team that is like family; they really are the smart ones behind the scenes.
Our flagship offering is the Happy Mat, and we are dedicated to getting the Happy Mat on as many tables as possible. That said; we are also focused on innovation and have launched the Snack Mat and Happy Bowl. We know there are so many opportunities for innovation within the space, and we have started the design process on a travel mat and craft / play mat. Along with innovation there is also so much other opportunity! One campaign we are really proud of is our Changing the Face of Beauty campaign; our World Down Syndrome post went viral! Along with revolutionizing the feeding industry we are also determined to make a difference. :) I never thought I would be a mom entrepreneur; follow your dreams! More detailed information in regard our journey can be found here http://www.ezpzfun.com/the-journey/.
Please join our moms telling moms grass root movement and follow us on our social Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Youtube!
We want you to try ezpz foryourself and this week, we will be giving away one ezpz Happy Mat plus a 3-Pack of LooHoos to 1 lucky winner!
Leave a comment to let us know you're following ezpz (and have told other moms), and that you signed up for the LooHoo newsletter and we'll pick a winner on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from the comments below.

May 19, 2015
I love loohoo and ezpz, follow both companies on social media, but just signed up to receive the newsletters for both. In perusing the loohoo site recently, I learned that I don’t have nearly enough dryer balls since combining households and load size :( Anyway, I ordered the ezpz Happy Bowl for my youngest just last week, and since receiving it, we have used it for every meal…no more messes! My dad loves it more than the kids, and my son really wants the Happy Mat. After seeing how well the Happy Bowl works, I definitely see a few more ezpz products in our future…and am anxiously awaiting the travel mat!
May 19, 2015

I follow ezpz on Facebook (originally heard of them from Jamie “The Baby Guy”) and have been wanting to try one but alas, we are still without a Happy Mat at this point (but we do end up with plenty of food on the floor thanks to a super messy little man so we would LOVE to win this!!). I do think they are great, I just wish I could convince my hubby that they are worth investing in yet another baby product! ;)

I love both loohoo dryer balls and our ezpz happy mat and bowl! I already follow both :D Although my son figured out the trick with ezpz quickly, they have still helped him eat more independently and join the family table since they stay put well while he jabs at them with his tableware :) Since he’s always insisted on using spoons and forks, this is the first product that has helped him eat the way he wants to without getting frustrated, and has eliminated dumping and tossing. Love the dryer balls, too – in fact I plan on giving them as Christmas gifts to everyone I know this year :D
May 15, 2015

My 17 month old is a table clearer! If she is finished eating she wants he all on the floor as trash! We would love another ezpz mat and would love to try some loo-hop dryer balls! I spotted the mat before I knew what kind of messy eater I had. We bring it everywhere and servers, parents, even just curious people ask me how to get one. Some Servers will even take it and wash it off for me ?. Thank you loo-hoo and ezpz for your great products!

May 14, 2015
I’m so excited for this product and how successful you’re going to be once the word gets out! I’m going to spread this like wildfire – as this is going to be a tremendous sanity saver for all those moms and dads/daycares/grandparents. Unfortunately – the only losers are the dogs who wait for all the food to fall…at least they will still get what’s thrown on the ground! ha So I’m definitely following ezpz, have spread the word to my other mom friends and of coarse signed up for the LooHoo newsletter because that’s how I found out about this. Best wishes for success!
May 14, 2015
Following all the EZPZ goodness, and a subscriber to the newsletter :) I hope I win!
May 14, 2015
These look amazing! With an almost three year old and an almost one year old meal times are always messy! This would save our table from the chaos (and mommy’s arm from constantly scrubbing!)

I would love one for my messy 18m old. I have been in love with ezpz since I saw them on TheBabyGuyNYC! I think all parents should get one!
May 14, 2015
I have a messy 19 month old. We really could use something like this in our house! She loves throwing her plate of food on the floor when she is finished eating. This could answer all of our problems.
May 14, 2015
Just had baby #3 in November, so I know how messy little ones can be! She’s been on solids for almost two months, and I’m almost dredding finger foods because of all the inevitable mess that’s likely to come from her practicing her ultimate frisbee throw!
I would love to try an EzPz plate or bowl to see if there really is an alternative to a messy family dinner. Maybe for once our dog would have to eat real dog food instead of the baby’s!
May 14, 2015
Following ezpz and LooHoo, also signed up for newsletter. I would love to try a Happy Mat and bowl for my messy three year old boy!
May 14, 2015

May 13, 2015
I absolutely love the ezpz line (only problem is buying for all 4 of my kids gets expensive- no matter what we are buying). I also love following ezpz on facebook because I learn about other awesome moms improving the lives of kiddos (neatcheeks!, Today I ate a Rainbow, and so many more!) I absolutely adore that you are involved in changing the face of beauty and how your product is making such a big difference in families of special needs children.
Thank you for working with loohoo (another product I will need to convince my husband we can not live without!)
May 13, 2015
I love ezpz and have been following them for almost a year now! Haven’t had a chance to try the mats yet (saving up!) and would love to win. I’ve told tons of friends and hope to see more variations of the line. Love dryer balls and signed up for the newsletter! Thanks for the giveaway.

Following you on Facebook now – happy to support a fellow New England business!

May 13, 2015
I would absolutely love to try one of these mats! The so called suction bowls and plates do not work, baby outsmarts them every time and half her meal goes on the floor.
May 13, 2015
We are following both you and ezpz. We also already own a happy mat that we absolutely love! We had a friend suggest we buy the bowls for our cat even because he pushes his bowls all around our floor!
May 13, 2015
oh i can’t wait to use the ezpz myself…i bought two happy mats when they were first released for my two toddler nieces! i have two teenagers (who sometimes i wonder couldn’t still use the happy mat…ha ha) and a 10mo old who is still pretty much on puree food…starting to work on finger food but she’s a preemie and tiny so she’s closer to a 6-8mo old in many areas. so my family has the ezpz but i don’t yet! :P and i just signed up for loohoo too. love all the mom inventions. good stuff.

Hi Lola, A lot of older people are used to liinvg with scatter rugs as there wasn’t as much wall-to-wall carpeting back then. It isn’t always easy getting loved ones to remove the rugs, especially if they haven’t had any recent falls. I find that people are more open to change if they are genuinely afraid that they’ll fall. Sometimes I just choose one or two of the rugs that I think are the most trippable, օրինակ, those that are located in a well-used area of the home, and I suggest that they remove the rugs and try it out for a week. If they really want the rugs back, we then put them back. It is really helpful to give everyone choices whenever possible. In your situation, if they’re against removing any rugs, just make sure that the rugs have anti-skid padding underneath to make their usage safer. Best wishes,Խնկունի
